Speaker Details:

Aurélie Plessier: Woman and French hepatologist, consultant in the hepatology unit, Beaujon hospital, and in charge of the referral centre for vascular liver diseases. My research centres of interest are Vascular diseases of the liver, and portal hypertension. I have participated to European and coordinated national guidelines for vascular liver diseases. I am a member of Valdig steering committee, as a correspondent for ERN-rare liver, in charge of vascular liver diseases.

Filipe Nery (MD, PhD) is an internal medicine specialist and hepatologist with a PhD in Medical Sciences (2019), working in Oporto University Hospital Centre. He is Professor of Medicine at Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas de Abel Salazar – Oporto University. He has a particular interest in vascular liver disorders and is a member of the Steering Committee of VALDIG. He is a junior investigator at Oporto University Public Health Institute.

Arnulf Ferlitsch, MD, received his medical education at the Medical University of Vienna. Starting in 1998, his research focuses on portal hypertension and interventional endoscopy. He build up the Vienna Hepatic Hemodynamic Lab , became Associate Professor of Medicine and published 120 original articles in this field so far. He developed a specially designed HVPG catheter, 2015 he organised a live course in interventional Hepatology and Endoscopy for the 2015 ILC in Vienna. Since 2018 he is the Head of the Dept. of Internal Medicine I, Gastroenterology at the St. John of God Hospital in Vienna Austria. He is married and has 3 children.

Filipe Andrade, MD: Internal medicine specialist, with focus in liver pathology since 2012. Actually is the Head of the liver catheterism and elastography unit of Hospital Pedro Hispano (Matosinhos, Portugal). Liaison element with the Obstetrics Service in supporting pregnant women with liver disease and member of the Liver and Biliary Cancer Multidisciplinary team. EASL and VALDIG member.

Marco Senzolo (MD, PhD) is a clinical specialist in Gastroenterology, Hepatology with a PhD in hepatological sciences (2006). He is consultant Gastroenterologist at the University Hospital of Padua (Italy) since 2004. He is the head of the Unit of Vascular Liver Diseases and Ddvanced Treament of Portal Hypertesion. His research is focused on the risk factors and treatment of portal vein thrombosis in presence and absence of cirrhosis. Specifically, he is interested in primary vascular liver diseases (Budd-Chiari syndrome, portal vein thrombosis and intrahepatic non cirrhotic portal hypertension), as well as in endovascular treament of portal hypertensive complications.

Audrey Payancé: Member of the national french referral centre for vascular disorders of the liver (CRMVF). Full time Hepatology and portal hypertension unit consultant, member of the cardiac and liver catheterism unit, Hopital Beaujon, Clichy, France.
