About ERN RARE-LIVER
ERN RARE-LIVER is a Europe-wide network for centres of excellence in the clinical management of rare liver diseases in both adults and in children.
The networks aim is to improve standards of clinical knowledge and patient care for rare liver diseases across Europe.
Scope of ERN RARE-LIVER
The network currently covers the following disease groups:
- Autoimmune liver disease (AILD)
- Metabolic, biliary atresia and related diseases
- Structural and vascular liver diseases
- Rare liver diseases in pregnancy
By working closely with clinical centres, doctors and patient organisations, the network will:
- disseminate best clinical practice guidelines
- use innovative IT solutions to enable clinicians to access expert knowledge from all over Europe
- update clinical guidelines to enable standardisation of care
- provide patients with relevant and high-quality information.
