The third session in the ERN RARE-LIVER CPMS 2.0 Live Case Discussion series will take place on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, from 15:00 to 15:30 CET, focusing on a paediatric autoimmune hepatitis case titled: “Therapeutic Challenges in Autoimmune Hepatitis Type 2: Infliximab Treatment in a 12-Year-Old Girl.”

This case, uploaded on CPMS 2.0, will be discussed by leading experts Marianne Hoerby-Joergensen (Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet) and Marcial Sebode (University Medical Centre Hamburg Eppendorf), addressing key clinical considerations:

  • the continuation of current treatment, additional immunosuppression alongside infliximab
  • the potential role of a low dose of azathioprine to prevent anti-infliximab antibodies, long-term consequences of biological therapy
  • the possible switch to adalimumab.

The session will be moderated by Fie Brantbjerg Tinning (Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet), representing the ERN RARE-LIVER CPMS Helpdesk.

For further questions, the ERN RARE-LIVER Helpdesk is available to support.
