EMBO Workshop on Liver and pancreas in metabolic disease: from pathways to therapies

This meeting will bring together leading researchers and experts on cutting-edge advances in liver and pancreas biology. It will discuss progress in our understanding of biological mechanisms underlying human metabolic diseases, as well as development of novel therapeutic strategies.

The workshop will also span topics such as organ modeling, novel genomic technologies, gene regulation, human genetics, disease-relevant molecular and developmental processes, and genetic and cell replacement therapies. The meeting has a highly multidisciplinary programme to promote collaborative and cross-fertilizing interactions. Each session will engage scientists working on both organs, with contributions from outside speakers from diverse academic and industry backgrounds. The event will take place from 2-4 April 2025 in Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Girona), Spain. Registrations and submission of abstracts are possible until 14 February 2025.
