Call for ERN RARE-LIVER EASL ACADEMY 2024 is out!

Announcement of the organizer: 1 September 2023 at ERN Members’ Meeting

The application needs to deal with the following items:

Framework:
• To be organized between March and June 2024
• Length of Academy; one day and a half (ideal Thursday to Friday, to fit with a maximum of two nights hotel stay for participants and speaker guests)
• Planning for 20 participants (recruitment of participants run by the ERN office)
• The ERN will cover up to 15.000€ for the venue, catering, Scientific Dinner, accommodation and up to 10.000€ for travel reimbursement for 20 participants and 4 speakers from other member centres. Furthermore, accreditation and prize for the winner group will be covered.

Expectation from organizer:
• Academic agenda and program (focus topic will be chosen by centre but should be with a particular focus on pediatric rare liver diseases in general). Program must be approved by ERN training committee.
• Program should include expert talks as well as interactive case discussions between participants and faculty of the academy. These interactive case discussions are recommended to be undertaken in smaller groups, in which results the participants should present their reasoning and discussion of the case to all participants and faculty.
The winner group will be awarded a prize.
• Recruiting 4 speakers from other member and partner centres
• Recruiting minimum 8 speakers from own centre
• Organize venue, catering, Scientific Dinner and Hotel in own centre.
Costs will be reimbursed by the ERN RARE-LIVER in one bill right after the event (prepayment, if needed, can be arranged)
