The ERN RARE-LIVER Members’ Meeting 2026 took place on 13–14 February 2026 in Prague, hosted by IKEM Prague (Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine) at the Charles University main campus, bringing together over 120 participants from across the network, including clinicians, patient representatives, youth panel members, and partners.

The meeting combined plenary sessions, Disease Working Group meetings, and interactive workshops under the theme “Shaping Better Care Together”, providing a platform to exchange expertise and align on future priorities within the network. A dedicated Paediatric Strategy Meeting took place ahead of the main programme, offering additional space to discuss paediatric-specific developments and strategic needs.

A central component of the meeting was the work of the Disease Working Groups, which presented updates and discussed ongoing activities and future directions. Structured group sessions enabled close collaboration across centres and disciplines, while short presentations highlighted key developments within each group. The format encouraged active exchange between clinicians, patient representatives, youth panel members, and partner organisations.

Participants particularly valued the in-person setting, emphasising the importance of direct exchange, networking opportunities, and interactive discussions. The meeting also highlighted the need to further strengthen awareness beyond expert centres and to continue building capacity across both healthcare professionals and patient communities.
