“Rare liver diseases – from clinical guidelines to real-life care”
Introduction
The ERN RARE-LIVER EASL ACADEMY 2025 will be hosted by the university hospital of Heidelberg and will focus on rare liver diseases with special focus on translating clinical practice guidelines in real-life care. The university hospital of Heidelberg is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of rare liver diseases and the complex challenges in real-life care for patients with rare liver diseases.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the ERN RARE-LIVER EASL ACADEMY 2025 are to:
- Enhance the understanding and practical management of rare liver diseases in light of the ERN-EASL-guidelines and discuss the guidelines content and translation to the clinic interactively between speakers and ERN RARE LIVER participants.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange between experts and young fellows in the field.
- Promote multidisciplinary collaboration in the treatment of rare liver diseases.
- Encourage the development of innovative approaches to patient care and treatment strategies.
Academic Agenda
The program will be a blend of expert talks, interactive case discussions and collaborative activities between experts and young fellows. Our setup will deal with the optimal translation of EASL-ERN clinical guideline knowledge into real-life practice with special focus on difficulties in diagnosis, treatment as well as opportunities and challenges in long-term management of rare liver diseases.
