Call to host the ERN RARE-LIVER ACADEMY 2027

The application needs to deal with the following items:
Framework:
- To be organised between March and June 2027.
- Length of ACADEMY: 1.5 days (ideally Thursday to Friday, to fit with a maximum of two nights hotel stay for participants and speaker guests).
- Planning for 20 participants (recruitment of participants run by the ERN office)
- The ERN will cover up to 15.000€ for the venue, catering, Scientific Dinner, accommodation and up to 10.000€ for travel reimbursement for 20 participants and 4 speakers from other member centres.
- The ACADEMY needs to be accredited through UEMS-EACCME. The application form then needs to be filled by the organiser and fees for the application will be covered by ERN RARE-LIVER.
Expectation from organiser:
- Academic agenda and programme (focus topic will be chosen by centre but should be with a particular focus on adult rare liver diseases). Programme must be approved by ERN Training & Education Committee.
- Programme should include expert talks as well as interactive case discussions between participants and faculty of the ACADEMY. These interactive case discussions are recommended to be undertaken in smaller groups, in which results the participants should present their reasoning and discussion of the case to all participants and faculty.
- Recruiting 4 speakers from other full member and affiliated partner centres.
- Recruiting minimum 8 speakers from own centre.
- Lived experience/patient input to programme is valued
- Organise venue, catering, Scientific Dinner and Hotel in own centre.
- Costs will be reimbursed by the ERN RARE-LIVER in one bill right after the event (prepayment, if needed, can be arranged).
