About the Working Group

The Vascular Liver Disease Working Group brings together clinicians, researchers, patient representatives and early-career professionals with expertise in rare vascular disorders affecting the liver and portal circulation.

The group focuses on vascular liver diseases including Budd–Chiari syndrome, portal vein thrombosis, porto-sinusoidal vascular disease, congenital portosystemic shunts, portal hypertension, sinusoidal obstruction syndrome/hepatic veno-occlusive disease and related rare vascular liver disorders.

The Working Group aims to improve diagnosis, clinical management, patient information, research collaboration, education and access to expert care across Europe.

Get Involved

Clinicians, researchers, junior professionals, patient representatives and patient organisations interested in vascular liver diseases are welcome to become involved in the Working Group.

The group collaborates with ERN RARE-LIVER, VALDIG and EURO-VALDI-NET to support research, education, patient information and improved clinical care across Europe.
