Rare Liver Tumours

About the Working Group

The Rare Liver Tumours Working Group brings together clinicians, pathologists, surgeons, researchers and other specialists with expertise in rare benign, low-grade and malignant liver tumours in children and adults.

Rare liver tumours cover a wide landscape of neoplasms, including epithelial and non-epithelial proliferations. They may occur in children or adults, in otherwise healthy livers or in the context of chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. Some patients may require complex multidisciplinary care, including imaging, pathology review, surgery, oncology, interventional radiology and liver transplantation.

The Working Group aims to improve awareness, diagnosis, multidisciplinary collaboration, imaging and pathology expertise, registry development, surveillance strategies, education and patient information for rare liver tumours across ERN RARE-LIVER centres.

Get Involved

Clinicians, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, oncologists, researchers, nurses, patient representatives and patient organisations interested in rare liver tumours are welcome to become involved in the Working Group.

The group is particularly interested in strengthening multidisciplinary participation, including nursing, imaging, pathology, basic research and patient representative involvement.
