About the Working Group
The Liver Disease in Pregnancy Working Group brings together clinicians, researchers and patient representatives with expertise in rare liver diseases before, during and after pregnancy.
The group focuses on both pregnancy-related liver diseases and pregnancy in people already living with a rare liver disease. This includes rare gestational liver diseases such as acute fatty liver of pregnancy and HELLP syndrome, as well as pregnancy and contraception questions in autoimmune, cholestatic, genetic, vascular, metabolic and post-transplant liver disease.
The Working Group aims to improve patient and clinician information, support data collection, develop practical tools, collaborate with disease-specific Working Groups and strengthen patient involvement in pregnancy-related care.
Get Involved
Clinicians, researchers, obstetricians, hepatologists, nurses, patient representatives and patient organisations interested in liver disease and pregnancy are welcome to become involved in the Working Group.
The group works on patient information, clinical tools, surveys, pathways, webinars, workshops and cross-Working Group collaboration to improve care for people with rare liver diseases before, during and after pregnancy.
