Centre information

The Erasmus MC Liver Centre harbours one of the leading programs for liverdisease and livertumours within the Netherlands and offers the entire armentarium of diagnostic and treatment modalities. Patientcare is organized by multidisciplinary teams on daily/weekly base and joined by hepatologists, hepatobiliary surgeons, and liver-dedicated pathologist, radiologists and medical oncologists. All state of the art techniques may be offered.
The coordination of MDT-meetings and patientcare is organized by a team of nurse practitioners and a secretarial office ,offering optimal accessibility for patients and physicians. A number of data managers are responsible for the registration and follow up of our patients.
In hospital care offers single patient rooms with dedicated nurses, dieticians and pre and rehabilitation support. Outpatient follow up may be organized by telemedicine or in close collaboration with local hospitals, if possible and more convenient for patients.
The center of pregnancy induced liver diseases is part of the center of obstetric medicine. The center is specialised in diagnosis, management, after care and follow up of women with preeclampsia, HELLP-syndrome and acute fatty liver of pregnancy. The center is a referral center for women with preeclampsia, HELLP-syndrome and acute fatty liver of pregnancy. Sccientific research is performed on preeclampsia, HELLP-syndrome and acute fatty liver of pregnancy
