It is a great pleasure to announce the 2nd International Congress on Biliary Atresia and Related Diseases (BARD).
This will include state-of-the-art lectures by an international faculty and a full multidisciplinary scientific program.
As a joint initiative of the European Reference Network on Hepatological Diseases (ERN RARE-LIVER) and the European Society of Pathology (ESP), a workshop on the histological criteria of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) took place at the ESP headquarters in Brussels, Belgium on January 21st.
A session dedicated to ERN RARE-LIVER, led by Ekkehard Sturm, was held at the ESPGHAN Annual Meeting. The new ERN RARE-LIVER coordinator, Ansgar Lohse provided an overview of the status and plans of the network.
The first Members’ Meeting after the change of coordination from Newcastle to Hamburg was held at Hamburg Airport. The new coordination team was introduced and we discussed how to integrate new centres and young fellows into the network.
