Centre information

In the french adult hepatology department and the paediatric department of Caen University Hospital we are very involved in the management of rare autoimmune, biliary and vascular liver diseases. We actively participate in clinical trials and work closely with patient associations.

All the medical, surgical and radiological specialyties required for the multidisciplinary care of patients are represented. We work regularly with the reference centers for vascular diseases of the liver at Beaujon Hospital and are part of the French research network on vascular diseases of the liver and Valdig group. We also work regularly with the reference center for inflammatory diseases of the biliary tract and autoimmune hepatitis at Saint Antoine University Hospital.

Our centre is additionally highly involved in the management of the complications of cirrhosis, whether portal hypertension or hepatocellular carcinoma.
