It is located in the South-Western area of Milan and serves a population of about 400,000 inhabitants. The Division operates as a tertiary referral centre for patients with autoimmune hepatitis, chronic cholestatic diseases of autoimmune origin, and Wilson’s disease. Patient care is oriented towards a multidisciplinary approach, with strong commitment to integrate the team’s expertise with the in-house network of specialists expert in endoscopy, diagnostic/interventional radiology, liver surgery, intensive-care, haematology and neurology. The hospital includes a paediatrics ward offering integrated care to patients in the paediatric age who are affected by the diseases which the division is focused on.
