ERN RARE-LIVER Members´ Meeting 2025

The ERN RARE-LIVER Meeting 2025 took place on 23-24 January in Barcelona, hosted by Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. The programme started on Thursday 23 January at 1pm and continued until Friday 24 January at 1pm. During these 24 hours, the main focus was on the presentations and meetings of the ERN RARE-LIVER Disease and Transversal Working Groups, the outlook regarding CPMS and the R-LIVER Registry, and 3 breakout sessions in which the following topics were discussed and deepened:
- Sustainability of the ERN – Future Funding in Rare Liver Diseases
- Empowering Parents and Caregivers
- Advancing Training and Education in Rare Liver Diseases
In addition, we welcomed special speakers such as Enrique Terol (Health Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union), who spoke about the vision of the European Reference Networks, and Alexis Arzimanoglou (Coordinator ERN EpiCARE), who gave an input on cross-ERN collaborations and Bernd Löwe (Director of the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf), who presented on the biopsychosocial genesis and management of persistent physical symptoms.
